Over 20 Years of Authentic Mexican Flavor
When Elias Morales and Claudia Ibarra opened El Balcon Restaurant y Mariscos more than 20 years ago, they had one simple dream: to bring the bold, authentic flavors of Mexico to the Bolingbrook community. What started as a labor of love has grown into a neighborhood favorite that families return to again and again.
From our perfectly seasoned tacos and tender guisados to our fresh, vibrant ceviche and mariscos, every dish is made with the same care and passion that Elias and Claudia put into that very first meal. We use traditional recipes and fresh ingredients to deliver a true taste of home with every plate.
Over two decades later, our commitment has never changed. We are proud to be a place where friends gather, families celebrate, and everyone leaves with a full stomach and a smile. Thank you, Bolingbrook, for making El Balcon your home away from home.

This is my first time coming here, and I have already eaten here twice in one day. Earlier, I had guisado de res. The waitress did advise me that it was spicy, but it was delicious. So I came for dinner and had cucharas, and they were delicious. My kids had tacos de lengua and gordita de asada. It's our new favorite spot. I will definitely recommend it. 👌 Everything was fantastic, and the service was great. I will come back hungry for more🤤

I’ve know this restaurant since it’s grand opening and it has never disappointed! I cater for my large groups at work and the food always arrives on time, warm, and they never miss anything. They transport their food in multiple aluminum trays and then wrap everything in plastic. Prices are also not exaggerated. I like catering the following for my groups: Costilla de puerco en salsa verde Large tray of ceviche They have the fluffiest orange rice Large tray of beans Large tray of guisado de res.

Salsa & tacos were out of this world! Rice could be better, but the tacos made up for that. Their food is truly authentic however. 8/10, would recommend as a taco spot for sure.
